High School choir teacher, former cheerleader, mother of 2, CROSSFITTER, and so much more... Stephanie Madsen shares lessons she's learned as a cooperating teacher for student teachers such as Lamar Davis but she also imparts even more with listeners on this week's episode of the ChoirBaton podcast.

Stephanie's journey led her from teaching high school in North Carolina to starting a middle school choral program in Cobb County, Georgia. Five years later with an 18th month old and pregnant with her second daughter, she relocated to Charlotte and began life as a single mother and choir teacher at her current school. In this position she has mentored hundreds of students and now multiple student teachers. Stephanie's insight into living, learning, asking for help, and admitting when you've messed up or something didn't go as planned will make you laugh and encourage you to be vulnerable with yourself and your students in order to effectively lead and guide others to be the best versions of themselves through the conduit of choral music.
